About me

Worshipper, Singer and Songwriter.

Charlene’s Message:

I am no more than you are. All I am is what my heavenly Father wants me to be, no more, no less. He is the source of my inspiration and the reason I live.

Everything I can do is because of His favor. I’m referring to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the ‘I am that I am.’ I sing about who the Lord is, what He has done, and what He can do. Worshiping the Lord Jesus is like breathing to me every day.

To be honest, music is not my career; it is my calling and one of my forms of communication. My mission is to minister to those whom the Lord has prepared to be touched by the gifts He has instilled within me.

Charlene L. Kazay is a Canadian-Congolese (DRC) artist who was born during the era when the Democratic Republic of Congo was known as ‘Zaire.’ She is a follower of Christ, a worshiper, singer, and songwriter, with a passion for self-directed learning and a love for writing, painting, cooking, reading instructive books, and exploring different cultures.

Her music is her heartfelt expression, shaped by the testimony of her life, blending influences from her African heritage, French, and American gospel music.

Charlene’s spiritual journey began at the age of eleven when she gave her life to Christ. She started singing at the age of twelve in Lagos, Nigeria and later became a worship leader in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. Charlene has learned to write praise songs and took vocal lessons in North America. She witnessed God in her journey as she continued to praise the Lord through songs in various places.

Charlene is a loving mother and married for over a decade. She is passionate about encouraging others to trust God and persevere through life’s challenges. Her prayer is that those who engage with her articles, quotes, and songs will come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior if they have not yet done so.

“I believe that God has a plan for each and every one of us. Likewise, I also believe that we are all created in His image and likeness. We are all called to serve Him in different ways..”
